Charity is 3 years old and attends our day care class. She lives with her mum at her grandparents home. Due to their abject poverty they struggle to feed themselves and Charity has escaped becoming malnourished thanks to the two meals she gets while attending school.

Her father left and her mother struggles to find work, as there are many in the community in the same situation, so it makes life very difficult. They need support to be able to feed themselves.

In addition, her home setting is very poor, with no bed, bedding or mosquito net, to keep her safe from malaria, which is the most common killer of under 5s.

The family has no clean tap water or toilet which puts Charity is danger from multiple diseases arising from dirty water and relieving themselves in bushes.

Becoming Charity’s school sponsor will ensure her education continues, she’ll receive two hot meals a day and also a uniform, shoes, bag and resources.
