As well as providing free education, The Roof of Africa also supports families in need and in 2024 are planning to support 273 families who are in danger of extreme poverty. Many orphans and street children in the area faced a live on the street or the prospect of institutionalisation, now as part of our reunification programme, local elders many of whom are grandparents are stepping up to provide these children with homes and families.

Those along with single parent families, or those too sick to work, will benefit from our food parcels. £3 will ensure one family receives enough food to feed them for a day. In addition, the children will continue to receive two meals a day while at The Roof of Africa school.
